Poetry

Touching on the edge of the idea, Kwong’s poetry often invites the reader to revisit lines, allowing them to arrive at a deeper meaning centered in abstraction and feel, yet not entirely devoid of the concrete.

Originally inspired by Leonard Cohen’s early work, Kwong began a daily practice of writing poetry on the New York City subway in 2019, as well as in cafes and coffee houses. He began to perform his poetry live during house concerts, and was published by Mixed Asian Media, formerly known as Hapa Mag.

Kwong recently published his first book of poetry, “An Eyelash For Sand.” To purchase a copy of the book, please reach out to me through the contact page.
