Michael Kwong has been a singer and songwriter on the acoustic guitar for over 25 years and has released 3 studio albums. He began painting and drawing in 2006 and in 2009 started creating noise, experimental, and free jazz music using the electric guitar and snare drum. Kwong performed a featured improvisational set at ABC No-Rio in 2013, and shortly thereafter toured New York with the experimental music trio ArtStar. He began writing poetry in 2019, which was published in the online magazine Hapa Mag, now Mixed Asian Media. In 2020, he started teaching himself the drums and plays the kit in several experimental music projects, along with the rock band “The Neuroplastic.” Kwong resides in Brooklyn, NY, where he is recording his 4th studio album, “April Hour,” and published his first book of poetry “An Eyelash For Sand.” He continues to perform live as a solo act using a variety of different media, as well as in bands.
